On this special edition of the McKay Interview. Many thought the war would be short-lived. But the brave Ukrainian people had another view. Ukraine, with huge financial and material help from NATO, has given Putin’s army a bloody nose. But has failed to land a knockout blow. Can it do so? Does it have the capacity and the military stamina to do so? It certainly has the will and determination.
Michael McKay is speaking to Ukrainian Ambassador to the UN and other international organisations in Geneva, Yevheniia Filipenko. He's asking how her government sees the current situation as the snows and frozen ground in Ukraine melt and spring slowly arrives. And with it, the certainty of a spring offensive comes into view.
