For the last few months, canton Zurich has been a vaccine laggard with one of the slowest rates in the country – but rates have been picking up recently and now anyone over 16 can book a jab.
A further 120,000 appointments haven opened and local pharmacies have been given enough vaccine for a further 30,000.
More than half a million have now had at least one shot and the canton is now vaccinating around 16,000 a day.
