One of Zurich’s most visited landmarks is disappearing from view for the next four years.
The twin towered Grossmünster will be covered in scaffolding as repair work is undertaken.
The scaffolding will be going up in stages: The towers will be included next year, but it won’t start coming down until 2028.
Construction work on the cathedral started in the year 1100 and it has half a million visitors every year.
Work on renovating the interior has just finished. That took two years.
