There are worries for a Swiss round the world sailor after authorities have lost contact with him shortly after leaving Tasmania early December.
The 80-year-old is from Zurich and is an experienced sailor. He’s twice sailed around the world already.
He was heading to New Zealand, but hasn’t been heard from since December 5th.
Australian police say they’re very worried and are searching for any signs of life.
All the latest safety equipment is on board – such as navigation systems and transponders which are supposed to automatically transmit the location, but nothing is being received.
