A report from the University Hospital Zurich shows high-risk Covid patients who are vaccinated spend less time in intensive care than the unvaccinated.
The study examined the outcomes of nearly 1,000 patients.
Those that had been vaccinated were shown to have fewer respiratory problems than the others and mainly didn’t need a ventilator.
The unvaccinated greatly outnumbered the vaccinated in intensive care anyway.
The head of the study group, Matthias Hilty, says its proof vaccines lower the risk and the new variants haven’t changed that.
