Unvaccinated travel at their own risks

Franco Muff

If someone’s non-vaccinated status means they can’t go on a trip or take part with an organised tour – you won’t get much sympathy from the Swiss travel ombudsman.

Franco Muff is the ombudsman for the travel industry. He arbitrates between customers and businesses in case of disputes.

Speaking to the Blick newspaper, Muff says he’s only really dealing with cases relating to Covid at the moment. And he says the unvaccinated are the most worried.

Currently only vaccinated people can travel to certain countries without quarantine and then once there, they may not be able to do everything they want – even if they’ve booked and paid for tickets.

But the ombudsman is clear. He says if someone isn’t vaccinated which means they can’t travel or go on a trip. That’s not a problem for the tour operator or airline.
