Two men are being held by police after a home invasion in Cartigny in canton Geneva last week.

An elderly couple were held hostage while their home was ransacked and items stolen. The man had his ear slashed with a knife – it later required stitches.

Prosecutors say three men were involved – one is still on the run.

The attack was last Wednesday night. The pair in custody were caught only a few hours later after a search using sniffer dogs.
Stolen items were found nearby.

The search for the third person continues. It’s believed he may have fled across the border.
