Switzerland is one of the worst performing countries in the world for Covid infections. It’s third on a global table of infections, based on per 100,000 people.
This country is at 746 – above is Slovakia at 944 and then Denmark at 835. Just below Switzerland is the UK at 549.
Switzerland has been implementing a more liberal policy than others with fewer and shorter lockdowns and has been more business friendly.
Commentators suggest the numbers show the government has been too lenient – especially when compared to neighbouring countries.
