It will start to feel summery this week. After weeks of heavy rain forecasters say temperatures will climb to the high twenties over the next few days – and even into the 30s.
Summer technically starts at 10.50pm on Thursday with the solstice.
Meteosuisse say warm sub-tropical air is rising giving temperatures a boost – but that will also bring with it its own issues – a risk of storms and heavy showers will increase from Thursday, especially in the mountains.
The warm air is likely to bring its own collection of Sahara dust with it.
