Servette Football Club have lost the first round in a legal fight against the commune of Lancy about advertising hoardings outside the stadium.
After the voters in Lancy decided to ban outdoor advertising – the stadium will have to remove the banners outside.
The football club asked federal judges to suspend the new law until a full case can be heard.
They refused, ruling that the economic loss was not sufficient.
