Roadworks to blight Geneva in 2025

The start of the year will see some major roadworks in Geneva – many of them scheduled to last several months.

In the city, the Jonction area will see the Rue des Bains, Hans-Wilsdorf and Quai Ansermet dug up.

Around Servette the renovation of pipework will led to closures.

Works in Meyrin – which have already started – will cause more disruptions as a temporary one-way system is put in around Nant d’Avril. That will last a year. It’s to allow for a new high frequency bus service.

In Thonex, part of the Chemin du Foron will be closed for three months.

The canton has already warned this year will see some highly disruptive roadworks. There’ll also be several digs to lay heating pipes.
