As soon as it’s been passed by the Carouge Municipal Council, the Swiss People’s Party has launched a referendum against the proposed new aquatic centre.
The right-wing party says it’s unacceptable the commune pays the CHF 70m bill when people from all over the canton will use it – and it believes other communes should also contribute.
