The United States is sending a wealthy donor to the Democrat party as the next ambassador to Switzerland.
The job in Bern is considered a highly prestigious posting and has, for the last 40 years, been given to donors to the relevant party that occupies The Whitehouse.
Scott Miller is 42 years old and comes from Colorado. He’s openly gay and campaigns for LGBTQ rights and has donated more than USD 500m to the cause thorough the foundation he runs with his husband Tim Gill.
He has a link with Switzerland as he used to be a wealth manager for UBS and owns two Bernese Mountain dogs.
He’s expected top arrive towards the end of next month.
