Some are finding that a previously direct route to Genva from German speaking areas now means a change at Renens.
Social media reflects the anger – especially the lack of a direct route from Neuchatel to Geneva.
The SBB says it was expecting some reaction from passengers as it does mean a change in routine – but it points out there are now 15% more trains in French speaking areas and better services from Valais into Geneva.
The SBB says this timetable is ‘temporary’ – it’ll be in place for ‘only’ ten years. It’s needs to accommodate major works on the infrastructure in western parts of the country.
