The vast majority of people want phones banned in schools – even a majority of school aged kids.
The survey was carried out by the Bernese Generation House and covered French and German speaking areas.
Broadly, 82% want a ban – but even 64% of those aged between 18 and 25 are supportive.
A ban would be supported across the political spectrum – right- and left-wing parties agree. The Greens are less sure, but even 75% of them agree.
