It’s the annual lake cleanup operation this weekend. Hundreds of volunteers will head down to the lakeside to drag out all the rubbish that’s built up over the last 12 months.
On average, the teams remove a tonne of garbage.
Over the past 25 years, more than 8,000 cans, 7,000 glass bottles and 5,000 plastic bottles have been taken out.
Also, 24 bikes, 86 tyres and 34 shopping trolleys.
Other items have been discovered, such as guns, fire extinguishers and safes.
Volunteers have to be registered, so you can’t just show up over the weekend – but if you’d like to help next year, the website is nadl.ch.
