Lake cleanup a success

The weekend’s lake cleanup operation managed to clear 720 kilos of trash from the water. A similar amount to previous years.

Organised by the Aqua Diving club, they found 2 bikes, 4 tyres, 2 car batteries and hundreds of bottles and cigarette butts.

The also found a computer and a fire extinguisher.

The club says, sadly, the amount collected remains constant year on year.

Next year’s lake clean-up has already been announced, 20th and 21st September 2025.
