The village fountain of Sézegnin in canton Geneva has been wrecked by a large truck.

The wooden shelter over the fountain dates back to the middle of the 19th century - but it was dragged down yesterday afternoon as a truck with a heavy load passed by and clipped the side.

Firefighters brought out heavy lifting equipment. Locals say it was lucky no one was injured as it's normal for people waiting for the bus to sit under the shelter.
