Health premiums expected to rise again next year

Health insurance premiums could rise between 6 and 10% next year, piling on further pressure on cash strapped households.

The estimate is from the comparison site, comparis.ch.

It will be the third above average increase in a row – and comes as voters will be deciding two separate initiatives designed to cut the cost of insurance.

Comparis and the health insurance umbrella organisation, Santésuisse, both say one of the major problems is that more and more services and drugs are being covered by the basic package.
