The government is looking to cut welfare payments for those from third countries.

Anyone who doesn’t have a Swiss, EU or EFTA passport could get less if the government gets its way.

The rule change will mainly affect those who have been in the country for a limited time – under three years.

There could also be change in the integration laws. Anyone wanting to get a Swiss passport or a stronger permit would also have to show their family is also being integrated into society.
