France asks for extradition of murder suspect

France has asked for the extradition of a murder suspect arrested in Geneva.

The man is suspected of killing a 19-year-old student in Paris. He already has convictions for rape.

The 22-year-old was grabbed at Cornavin station last month – he remains in detention.

The French Justice Minister, Didier Migaud, says the man will be tried in France.
