Protestors took to the streets of the French border town of Ferney-Voltaire on Saturday to fight against a large-scale shopping centre.
The march included locals and Geneva politicians from the Green Party. They called the idea an outdated project from the last century.
The centre will be 60,000 m2 with 130 shops, 19 restaurants and space for 1,600 cars.
Protestors point out this would be the second large centre being planned after the Open project in St Genis, which is attracting similar complaints.
In addition to the street marches, there have been legal challenges filed against the construction.
