Coronavirus is still having a major impact on the country with 186 people ending up in hospital and eight people having died from the virus in the past week.
Figures from the Federal Office of Public Health, released yesterday, show that more than 1,250 people have been confirmed to have caught Covid-19 since last Tuesday, bringing the incidence rate in Switzerland over the past two weeks to 34 cases per 100,000 residents.
That figure stood at 38 per 100,000 the previous week.
In total, since the start of the pandemic, there have been 14,065 deaths from Coronavirus in Switzerland, along with nearly 66,000 people being treated in hospital.
Altogether, more than 4,420,000 people have tested positive for the virus.
Seven out of 10 people have received at least one dose of vaccine and just over one in 10 has received a dose in the last six months.
