A Geneva court is ordering the canton to remove a cycle lane that had been put in during the height of the pandemic.
The lane runs along the Boulevard Georges Favon and the Coulouvrenière Bridge.
The case was brought by the motoring organisation the TCS. Judges determined the lane was put in without consultation or any data and said it was an abuse of power by the authorities.
The TCS says the installation of the bike lane and removal of a lane for cars is creating traffic jams.
The canton has not yet decided if it will appeal.
