The train line running from Geneva to Lyon is commonly nicknamed the ‘sick-line’ as it frequently suffers delays and overcrowding.
But the Geneva arm of the Transport and Environment Association says the line needs extra investment to increase capacity and even extend the Léman Express L6 line to the French town of Culoz.
The association points out the population of the two cities adds up to 2.5 million people.
