The Banque Cantonale de Genève released its latest figures showing a healthy profit and said last year was an ‘almost perfect’ financial year.
It made CHF 231m, a rise of 31% over 2022. The bank says it captured the dynamism of buoyant economic sectors. Its turnover was over half a billion francs for the first time ever.
It will pay a dividend of CHF 6.50. As more than 3 quarters of its share capital is owned by either the canton, the city and several communes, this means CHF 86m will be paid into the public sector.
The bank says it remains optimistic for this year’s results.
