Tens of thousands demonstrated on Friday across the country to fight for women’s rights.
The marches were part of the annual feminist strike.
Police estimate 8,000 marched in Geneva, 18,000 in Lausanne and more than 10,000 in Bern.
The Syna Union says they’re demanding equal pay and treatment as well as more to be done to end sexual harassment at work, in politics and at home.
The Unia Union says there needs to be a minimum wage of CHF 5,000 a month and say it’s scandalous that one in two women who have completed an apprenticeship earn less than that.
