Second vaccine given go-ahead

The medical regulator, Swissmedic, has authorized the use of the Moderna vaccine in addition to the Pfizer vaccine.

Today 200,000 doses of the new vaccine will be made available. In total 7 and a half million doses have been ordered.

Swissmedic says the latest vaccine has proven to be safe and reliable, although recipients may experience mild flu like symptoms afterwards - especially after the second dose.
