City of Geneva could take over creches
The City of Geneva is considering taking over managing the creches.

Christina Kitsos, head of the Department of Social Cohesion, says that the current system has been in place since the 19th century and needs to change.
The city already pays CHF 118m in subsidies to creches but, as Kitsos points out, doesn’t run anything.
She says it’s no longer viable to leave the running of creches to a committee of parents and the municipality should take over.
