National News // Nov. 20, 2020

The infection rate in Switzerland is coming down. Over the last 24 hours, nearly 5,000 were confirmed new cases – but taken on a rolling average of cases per 100,000 people, the rate is now 968 – down from last week of 1,256.

The death rate is still moving slightly higher, over the past 7 days 601 people died – compared to 526 the week before.

But it’s expected the death rate will start to fall over the next week.

Two of the worst hit cantons, Geneva and Vaud, also report falling infections.
