Federal warning over self-testing
Some Swiss travel agents are selling self-testing kits for those who need to show a negative result before entering some countries – but the Federal Health Office says it doesn’t recommend it and the results may not be accepted by all countries.
The tests are being sold by Migros Holidays and Hotel Plan. They cost CHF 165 – which the agencies say is cost price.
The customer does the test at home and sends the swab to a lab. The results are emailed back within a few hours.
But the health office says there’s a high error rate and not all countries accept them.
The advice is to be aware.
