Former corona head warns against too drastic action
The former head of the communicable disease unit at the Federal Health Office, Daniel Koch, says he would be opposed to a second lockdown as a response to the new wave of infections.
Koch was in charge during the first lockdown and was nicknamed Mr. Corona by the media.
In an interview with the Blick newspaper, Koch says while drastic action would help in the short term – it's unclear if the longer-term outlook would be any better.
He says the best action now would be track and trace and fast testing.
