Bern warns cantons to act decisively or the government will take over
The federal government has issued a warning to the cantons - get the virus under control in your areas or we’ll take over.

The message was sent by the president, Simonetta Sommaruga at a meeting with cantonal leaders in Bern.
During the meeting the Federal Health Office said there had been 2,613 new infections, 41 hospitalizations and two deaths.
Sommaruga denounced cantonal action – saying many had been too slow to take action.
The message seems to have got through to local leaders. An emergency meeting between cantonal health directors has been called for today. It wasn’t scheduled until late next week.
