Geneva restaurant voucher scheme a 'success'
The Geneva scheme to get people back out and into restaurants has ended – and is being hailed a success.
The ‘restôbar’ voucher scheme gave away coupons worth CHF 25 to anyone living in the canton which could be used in restaurants throughout the region.
In total 33,000 vouchers were exchanged at a cost of a million francs.
The head of Geneva Tourism, Adrien Genier says it’s been highly successful. A view shared by the Geneva restaurant association.
But the association’s chairman, Laurent Terlinchamp, says many businesses remain in a precarious situation.
