Geneva bank accountant jailed for stealing over $1m
An accountant working for a private bank in Geneva has been sentenced to a year in jail for stealing over a million dollars.
The woman was also given a two-year suspended sentence.
When first arrested in 2011, she admitted to taking between 10 and 20,000 francs a month from a client’s account by forging payment documents.
She was allowed to leave court after the sentencing as she had already spent a year in jail ahead of the trial.
