Man suspected of murdering girlfriend in Valencia arrested in Geneva
A man wanted by Spanish police suspected of murdering his girlfriend in Valencia has been arrested in Geneva.
Police believe the man tried to pretend his girlfriend was alive a week after her death by posting messages on her social media account saying she was away and asking friends to look after her cat.
The woman’s body was found in a car boot on the street where she lived, a week after her disappearance.
The victim’s sister posted pictures of the boyfriend – convinced of his guilt.
Geneva police say the man was trying to leave the country when stopped at Cornavin train station.
