Departure screens go blank at train stations around country
Train travellers yesterday had to rely on their wits for catching trains as a major technical breakdown meant information screens were blank for several hours.
The problems started at around 11am – but everything was back to normal by 3pm.
All departure screens in the main halls and the separate screens alongside the platforms failed.
While not every station was affected, the problems were not confined to one particular region.
Trains were not affected and passengers were kept up to date with more announcements.
