New constitution talks between Syrian representatives halted after 4 test positive for Covid-19
The United Nations in Geneva has had to suspend the meeting between different Syrian representatives after four tested positive for Covid-19.
Those who have the infection are now in isolation – and 45 other members of the group are in quarantine.
It’s hoped the meeting between different Syrian factions will be able to agree to a new constitution for the war-torn country.
The different sides traveled to Geneva separately and have no direct contact.
The full committee is 150 strong and divided into three main groups – including the government, opposition and civil society.
The civil war has killed 380,000 and displaced 11 million.
