Zug prison quarantines after inmate tests positive
A prison in canton Zug is in quarantine after an inmate tested positive. The prison says the man didn’t catch the virus outside, as he’s been locked up. He was in good health before being diagnosed.
The prison in Menzingen is now even more secure than it normally is. Visits are banned, the prisoners are being fed in their cells on disposable plates and they can’t do their prison jobs.
Staff have to stay at home when not at work.
The prison director says they’re in contact with cantonal authorities on when restrictions could be lifted.
