Explosives not used to down power pylon, investigations to continue
Investigations into the felling of a power pylon in Gland will be continued by canton Vaud after federal authorities determined explosives were not used.
The pylon was vandalized at the end of last month, bringing down several high voltage power lines. No one was injured and power supply was maintained.
The pylon formed part of the line which runs close to the autoroute.
Because the original theory was that the line was brought down by explosives, federal authorities were brought in. Investigators now say that wasn’t the case.
Further examinations will now be handled by Vaud.
