No consequences for tiger that killed zoo-keeper over weekend
The director of Zurich Zoo says there’ll be no consequences for the tiger that killed a keeper on Saturday.
Severin Dressen says the tiger was acting out of instinct – and the keeper had encroached on its territory.
The 55-year-old keeper was in the enclosure at the time of the attack. Witnesses say the tiger grabbed the woman by the neck.
Supposed photos of the attack are circulating online. The zoo says they’re not of the Zurich incident, but from 2017 in a Russian zoo.
The zoo remains open, but access to the tiger section is closed. Police are investigating.
