Switzerland and UK to come to post-Brexit trade deal
Switzerland and the UK say they want to mutually recognize their financial markets and have easy cross border trading agreements.
The deal would come into force after Britain’s transition period with the EU ends in December.
The two countries’ finance ministers, Ueli Maurer and Rishi Sunak, met virtually yesterday.
The Swiss Department of Finance says the meeting shows a ‘shared ambition for an agreement that would enable a cross border market for a wide range of financial services’.
