Heavy rainfall causes flooding in canton Bern
Heavy rainfall yesterday morning caused flooding, washing away cars and trees in canton Bern.
Forecasters say the region around Lake Thun was hit with 30mm of intense rain between 5 and 9am causing local rivers to burst their banks.
Fire fighters pumped water away from houses and tried to save garages and cellars from inundation.
Heavy rain also fell around Lausanne and cantons Fribourg and Aargau.
