Post Office breaks all records as lockdown creates new demand
During the lockdown, we all turned to online shopping.
The Post Office broke all records last month – delivering 17.3 million packages – 40% more than the same period last year and 2 million packages more than last Christmas.
The demand on the postal service climbed every day during the lockdown.
The Post Office says it normally employs extra temporary staff at Christmas time to handle the demand – but it did not for last month.
