School students angry over exam inequality between cantons
School students across the country are angry each canton is taking a different approach to the school leaving exam, the Maturité.
Some cantons have cancelled the exam and students will be assessed instead and other cantons plan to go ahead.
The teenagers say this is unfair as those who don’t have to sit the exams are free to focus on studying for university entrance papers - while those still to take the leaving exam will be revising for it.
They also claim sitting the exams could be a health risk.
Many are calling for a coordinated response across the country.
