Geneva police called to stop daily balcony choir
Is patience wearing thin?
Geneva police have been called to stop a regular balcony choir in the Saint-Jean area of the city.
Every evening at 6pm, residents in apartment blocks have been going to their balconies for a sing. Some are bringing musical instruments for a 15-minute rendition.
But clearly not everyone’s a fan. On Monday the concert was cut short after the police arrived. They say they had received complaints about the noise.
But residents say they won’t stop singing – but they will cut the volume a bit and have agreed to take a break on Sundays.
