Easyjet Switzerland normally flies out of Geneva, Basel-Mulhouse and Zurich airports, employing around 1000 people in this country.

An aviation working group will examine all requests for help from the airline sector - including a plea from Swiss International Airlines which is only running 20% of its normal schedule.

Flights across Switzerland’s airspace fell by almost 90% in March.

Airport service provider Swissport has also requested federal financial aid.
