Green Parties perform well in Geneva vote
Despite the virus lockdown, Geneva voters went to the polls yesterday in local elections and the results show a continuing green wave.

Environmental parties did well and the Green Party is now the second biggest in the city and gained strong support in several other communes, including areas normally associated with right-wing parties such as Cologny.
The Socialist Party also performed strongly
Losing heavily was the anti frontalier Geneva Citizens Movement – the populist party lost its remaining 26 seats in various municipalities across the canton.
