Train managers are acknowledging the issues say they are working on the problems and hope the service will be come more reliable in the next few weeks.
In a joint statement, Swiss Federal Railways and the SNCF say they’ve set up a cross border task force to find solutions.
Initially, strike action by French rail workers caused problems – but that ended 10 days ago.
The service runs different trains operated by the two companies and the signaling systems are different in France and Switzerland.
But on the upside. Passenger numbers are higher than expected. The new service carries 25,000 a day. Ultimately that number is expected to double.
