Geneva smog alert continues
The smog alert will continue in Geneva today.
Only vehicles which have a pollution rating of 4 or below are permitted to drive in the centre of the city.
The police say they checked around 10% of drivers and say they found them aware of the rules and the current limits.
The canton says it won’t issue fines until the end of March – but a court has also suspended fines until further notice.
All vehicles in the city needs to display a pollution sticker – irrespective of the car’s registration.
They can be bought at service stations, the cantonal vehicle office or online.
